Bob Eccles at Criterion Adjusters

After gaining his degree in history at Bangor University, Bob Eccles began his loss adjusting career with Mclarens Chartered Loss Adjusters in 1991, commencing employment at their Grimsby office. He initially started with domestic property and travel claims, and later widened his experience by dealing with commercial claims for a variety of leading insurers. During this time he completed an external MA in history at Leeds University. Bob worked out of a number of branches before settling in their Stockport office. In 1996 he joined GAB Robins, Chartered Loss Adjusters, handling commercial claims at their Manchester office. Whilst with Robins, Bob dealt with a number of national account clients, and handled business interruption, public liability and engineering claims, as well as commercial property losses.

In 2001, Bob joined Esure in Manchester, initially dealing with motor claims before joining the projects team. Here he undertook User Application Testing (UAT) and co-wrote the claims systems user manual. Bob also created a new fraud team and wrote the process for fraud handling. In 2003 he joined Crawford Loss Adjusters in Stockport and specialised in claims for high net worth clients, predominantly handling larger domestic and commercial claims, as well as being the nominated adjuster to handle Chubb claims throughout the North West.

During his career that now spans eighteen years in the Insurance sector, Bob has gained considerable catastrophe response experience, visiting flood and storm claims in South Yorkshire & Hull in 2007, following previous involvement in Scotland, Maidstone, Carlisle and Stratford upon Avon.

In January 2009 Bob joined Criterion to extend their presence to the North West, continuing his specialisation in the handling of high net worth claims.
