Robin Graysmark

Christopher Monks at Criterion Adjusters

Robin’s career commenced with Provincial Insurance where he gained all round experience of the insurance industry for several years.

It was claims that became of particular interest and Robin entered loss adjusting in 1987 with Pycraft & Arnold. He began handling a wide range of general household and commercial losses, principally for Lloyd’s underwriters. Robin gradually began to specialise in building losses and developed particular expertise with subsidence claims, of which there were many during those years. He was then promoted to manage branch offices in the south east and he combined successful management with the continued handling of his own cases.

Robin joined the Davies Group in 1999 where he managed branches in South London, Guildford and Maidstone. During this period he also began to focus on High Net Worth claims and specialist areas such as building losses involving the Party Wall Act.

In 2007 he was appointed manager of the Major & Complex Loss unit in Guildford. This division of the company was responsible for all major losses, Private Client claims, overseas losses and environmental damage claims. Robin managed the unit as it developed and expanded from small beginnings to a team of 18 adjusters. He was also instrumental in the development and implementation of new and innovative procedures for handling environmental claims, in particular escapes of oil at High Net Worth properties.

Robin joined Criterion in early 2015 to concentrate on private client claims and will be part of the team covering London and the south east.
